    Antique Chinese Export Porcelain Covered Milk Jug Puce Gilt Floral Sprays
    The domed lid with a gilt fruit and leaf finial with a vent hole and with small sprays and a leaf tip border.
    The jug with a matching leaf tip border and an outset spout over a tapering upper body and a bulging lower body and raised on a short circular foot.  An arched handle at side.  The body decorated on the front with a large puce and gilt floral spray and the body with smaller sprays.  The whole in an off white glaze.
    Unmarked as usual.
    Chinese made for export to the west.
    Late 18th century.
    Measures 5 3/4″ high, 2 5/8″ diameter at top rim plus spout.
